  13. Prepare 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  14. Prepare Pinch asafoetida
  15. Take To taste Salt
  16. Take 1 tbsp Jaggery

The recipe has been inspired from Parsi. Add the tomatoes and yoghurt, and cook till the fat is separated from the mix. Add the guava and bring to a boil, before reducing heat, covering and simmer. My mom makes very delicious curries and this is one of my fav curry mum makes, I love to have this curry as is.

Steps to make Guava Curry:
  1. Wash and cut the guava. Now make paste of tomato, curd, ginger and chilli.
  2. Heat oil, add cloves, cinnamon, and black cardamom. Now add cumin seeds. Now add turmeric asafetida, fennel powder and red chilli. Mix well, and cook for while at low flame.
  3. Add tomato mixture, cook it at low flame for 3-4 min. Now add diced guava. Mix well, cover it and cook for 3-4min.
  4. Add jaggery, mix it. Off the flame. Guava curry is ready to serve.
