  2. Prepare 20 gr green tea powder

My wife would spread it thin - as you don't need much to get the green tea (matcha style) taste. I put mine on thicker, to get the creamy texture - and because I think there is no such thing as too much of a good thing. Secondly, store the matcha spread in an air-tight BPA-free container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You will need to allow it to soften at room temperature before using or place the container in a bowl of warm water.

Instructions to make Matcha Spread:
  1. Stir in the green tea powder with 125ml whole milk (body temperature). Set aside.
  2. Mix sugar, cream, and 250ml whole milk in a saucepan. Heat the mixture about 20 mins. Keep stiring to avoid bubbling and burning.
  3. Add the green tea milk mixture to the saucepan. Cook about 30mins until you reach the thicker consistency. Stir regularly.
  4. Set aside to let it cool down. It will get thicker once it cools.
  5. Move it to an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator.
