  3. Lightly coat the fish with katakuriko and deep-fry until crisp. This time, after deep-frying, I raised the heat to 200℃ and fried the fish a second time.

Karaage is Japanese style fried chicken, what makes Karaage so special is the flavor they putting into the chicken while marinating. Very signature Japanese flavor and lightly dusted with potato or cornstarch and deep fired. The karaage was brought to us after our ramen. It was served with a light almost tartar like dipping sauce. Lightly fried instead of having the thicker batter, and the chicken was juicy.
