  19. Prepare 500 ml water
  20. Make ready 2 tsp ginger paste
  21. Take 2 tsp garlic paste

  23. Get 2 gren chillies, slit lengthwise
  24. Prepare 150 gm onion,finely sliced
  25. Get 100 gm tomato chopped
  26. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  27. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  28. Get 3/4 tsp cumin powder
  29. Get 3/4 tsp coriander powder
  30. Make ready 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  31. Get 1/4 cup oil
  32. Take to taste salt

  3. Saute till onions turn soft. Add tomatoes along with red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
  4. Add mutton pieces and saute for 5 minutes.Add water. Cover pot with with a light fitted lid or pressure cook till mutton is soft and cook through. Add mutton along with stock into the mashed dal. Mix through.For
  5. For tempering the dal gosht : Heat clarified butter. Add cumin seeds. When they start to crackle add minced garlic, curry leaves and kashmiri red chilli powder. Saute for2 minitues and add to the dal gosht. Give the dal gosht 2-3 boils.
  6. Squeeze in the lemon juice, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.

Dal Gosht Recipe is a combination of chana dal and gosht that is mutton with dal which is a very wonderful combination. The dal gosht is so tasty that it goes well with rice or rotis.
