Bread and butter pudding can be made with any kind of bread - in the past I've made it with a normal white loaf, bread rolls, hot cross buns, brioche… basically whatever I have on hand. To make it a bit more breakfast-friendly, this pancake pudding is made with - you guessed it - fluffy American-style pancakes. Add pancake mix, pudding mix, milk, and wafer crumbs, and whisk until combined.

The ingredients needed to make Pancake pudding:
  1. Get 4 cups milk
  2. Get 2 cups flour
  3. Prepare Dash salt
  4. Get 1 teaspoons ginger
  5. Get 1 teaspoons brandy
  6. Make ready 4 eggs

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add some oil. This foolproof bread pudding method quickly brings the pudding up to the right temperature so that it sets quickly, then lowers the temperature to keep the texture smooth by preventing overcooking. You can use any leftover pancakes in this bread pudding. Whole wheat, gluten-free, etc., will work equally as well as traditional pancakes.

  3. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
  4. You can top with syrup or what ever your favorite topping is I like to dip sugar cubes in orange juice and place on top with about 10 minutes of cook time left.

Scatter half of blueberries over pancakes, tucking a few between pancakes. Whisk together pancake mix, pudding mix, milk, water and vanilla. Batter will be slightly lumpy. (Do not overmix.) Add mashed banana. The pancakes may be my favorite. I can't resist pancakes as it is, but when you add a mashed banana and crushed vanilla wafers to the batter, then layer the pancakes with a thick and creamy pudding syrup studded with fresh banana slices, and top the whole thing off.
